I bet if you report this to WRAL, WTVD, and WNCN, it will get fixed pretty quickly versus a retort and brush off like you just got.

You should post it on the WRAL and City of Raleigh Facebook pages. That is scary for it not to be fixed with a very strong sense of urgency.

I remember when they replaced it, it wasn't that long ago.

Was it replaced, or just reported as replaced? Here is why I think it never was fixed.. The original broken grate and the cement parking lot car stop that was placed onto of it has fallen into the hole. If the city workers would have repaired it, I would suspect they would have removed the old grate and not let it fall into the sewer system,

It almost lookslike it might be a Public verse private property topic. The owners of the Car wash business obviously know about it and could care less.

I find it hard to believe that an open hole like this has been left for 2-3 months now.

The City of Raleigh closes out a lot of issues on See Click Fix without them actually even being fixed. For example, the bus stop sign on Kent Road issue (#692549) has been posted many times and closed out as fixed by the City each time, yet it is still not fixed. While that is only an inconvenience, this is dangerous. I almost agree with Billy's comments.

Left open all weekend. Called 911 and didn't hear anything back. Someone's going to get hurt.

Since this is on private property we could not make the repair, we talked to the business leasing the space and the property manager. The grate has been replaced.
