I agree as well. The school busses and many cars are also rolling through the stop signs in this neighborhood. Many with their cell phone plastered to their ear with loud rap music blaring. I guess a child or old person will have to get hit and killed before anything is done about it. How do we expect our young people to drive responsibly with examples like this? Common people this is our neighborhood and city, slow down and obey the traffic laws it could be your child or relative that gets hurt.

I am another witness of speeding school busses. I live on a corner. There is a stop sign 1 block over. From that sign , down two blocks to the next light, I have seen school busses , quickly increase there speed definitely past the 25 mph for residential areas . I can't tell you how scary that is at 4:00pm when kids are out playing.

Good Luck. From past complaints to them, they defend their drivers to the utmost. Even when the kids on these buses complain, they are just dismissed as children. When my kid says her bus driver runs stop signs and hits the gas to make a yellow (which turns red BEFORE they get to the light), then something needs to be done. Complain till your blue in the face..maybe a mass citizen concern will let them see the light.

If you see a LEGITIMATELY speeding school bus, get the bus number and the time of day and contact the Pontiac school district. They will immediately notify First Student of it, and that driver WILL be punished. REMEMBER, the LEGAL speed limit on ALL side roads is 25 mph, unless otherwise posted. Many times, residents hear the loud motors and assume buses are speeding. Be very careful when you allege speeding buses.
