Description
At least 20 deep and very dangerous potholes on Mountain Blvd from Ascot Drive and Mountain Blvd to Mountain Blvd at Woodminster Market area. They have been here for over 5 years with only one or two that look filled from years before. It’s very dangerous for bicyclists and pedestrians as well. It’s a challenge to come and go daily.

It's outrageous but not surprising that this has gone on so long. The City is in shambles yet no one pays any attention and blindly believes what they are told, so the problems continue. This is just a symptom of the ineffective leadership the people voted in.
Without people noticing Oakland has now become a member of ICLEI, which is the implementation arm of UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development. ICLEI fragments into and influences so-called local groups that pressure your government for more regulations. ICLEI blurs the lines between public and private, between governmental and non-governmental.
All these road diets? That's because they want us out of our cars and into stack and pack housing. See all the bicycles and scooters lined up everywhere? One step at a time, people submitting to more and more restrictions, blindly doing what they are told, being taxed to death and getting nothing in return. They have a plan for us, but they have to implement it in stages so the people don't react. It's the boiling the frog theory...
There is a growing movement to KICK ICLEI OUT of towns across the US. We should get a ballot initiative in the works that will change our city charter to remove ICLEI and prohibit the Oakland from UN-affiliated group membership. It would be a start to taking back local control.

Your response is absolutely not acceptable. I have spent thousands of dollars on my STOCK alloy wheels, realignment over and over, new tires, and I still have a cracked front bumper from having no choice but hitting a deep pot hole on Mountain Blvd between Redwood Road and Ascot. I always drive 5 miles below the speed limit on our city streets that don’t have much damage!
On Mountain Blvd, I have to drive around 15 miles per hour, and always have to cross the double yellow line to avoid these very dangerous potholes on either side.
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO MY HOME.
The road has been like this for well over 5 years, and getting worse. I have seen people fall when walking, as well as some very close calls with many bicyclists.
Certainly 51st and Telegraph is a mess, as well as Park Blvd.
These are all areas where high property taxes are paid to you, as well as areas that bring money to the city. It’s deplorable that the above answer says you don’t have the funds. This is our safety!
Businesses are effected.
What happened to the monies from marijuana legalization?!! Please fix this road ASAP. Someone is going to really get hurt. And I can no longer afford to go through this again. I have been discouraged in filing a suit with the city, as many say it will just be denied. I am a 4th generation native here. In city sales tax alone, my family could pave many roads with what we have paid. For goodness sake, tax is almost 10%!
Please fix this ridiculous and dangerous issue!
