THANK YOU for the repaving NB & SB on Oakwood Ave between Matthew Crt & Masonic Drive.
BUT, before the final striping is perform can someone double check the distance of the white tabs for the double lanes in both direction? When there are cars parked in front of the homes at the crest of the Oakwood Ave hill there is not enough room for a car to pass in the right lane on both sides of the street. Twice now I have encountered this problem especially if someone is getting out of their car at the last minute. I had to swerve into the left lane (both sides) and thank goodness there was no other car in the middle lane or I would have hit their car. This was not a problem prior to the repaving/white markers.

Oakwood Ave from Tenn. St. to Redwood Pkwy will be striped in a different configuration before the start of school. The new layout provides a 8' parking lane, 5' bike lane and then a single direction 11' lane of travel in both directions with a 12' painted island in the center.
Someone will be sent out today to re-align the temporary tabs now in place.
