Only wht passengers from NC State have to show ID on the CAT bus? Two women in front of me both are employees in the food court, the machine said show ID and neither did but when I boarded I had my ID out and as I went to sit the driver demanded to see my NC State ID. They were blk, I'm wht.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department, Transit Division. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

NCSU changed their policy this fall requiring all faculty/staff/employees and students to show their ID when using the GoPass. Bus operators have been made aware of this requirement and should be asking to see ID’s for every use of the pass. We apologize for any indiscretions that may have occurred during the initial phase-in of this new NCSU policy. All NCSU GoPass holders should be asked to show their ID when boarding the bus.
