Hello? Public Works dept.? Recently I stood as far into the crosswalk in the street as I felt I could and at least seven cars drove through right in front of me. One was a neighbor I recognized. Drivers just don't know to let someone already in a crosswalk finish crossing, and I don't think that crosswalk is apparent. Foot traffic is increasing with the new neighborhood businesses, do we care if neighbors can walk there safely? Do I start driving a quarter mile to shop? If so, I'll drive anywhere. I hate reading rants here, but I just left one anyway.

Per Public Works: The City will install the high-visibility crosswalks at this location to help make the crossing more visible.
