Park Issue Archived2 Park Plaza Alpharetta, Georgia - Alpharetta
Don't know which category to select.
Will the city ever get the Westminster chimes working again from the clock on City Hall.? This should be a warranty issue since they have never worked consistently from the day they were installed. If they were included in the installation that we paid for, we should have them.

Code Enforcement Parking Issue Archived29 S. Main Stt. Alpharetta, Georgia - AlpharettaIs Alpharetta planning on any handicapped-restricted parking spaces on the west side of Main St. in the "historic downtown" area? Since most of the on-street spaces were removed, the parking is now restricted to 6 or 7 spaces, none of them handicapped. There are only 2 such spaces around the back of SmokeJack, not nearly enough for the nearby businesses, and difficult to find if you don't know how to get there. The city parking deck is too far to walk from, and therefore impossible for the handicapped to use. Hopefully this issue will get considerable attention. Are there not ADA restrictions about the number of spaces required?

Traffic Issue Archived22 South Main Street Alpharetta, Georgia - AlpharettaI live about 1/2 mile from the area of South Main St., which is in the historic district. Every night for months, when I am out on my deck, I hear what sounds like vehicles drag-racing on South Main St. in this area. It goes on for hours, most notably from 6 - 10 pm. How does the city allow this to happen? It's noisy, and would be difficult to believe that there is not speeding involved.

Pothole/Road Repair ArchivedPark Plaza Alpharetta, Georgia - AlpharettaEastbound Academy St. just before Park Plaza, the right lane has been blocked by orange barrels/markers for months. The rest of the road has been paved, yet this small stretch remains blocked off. When will it be finished and why has it been so long?

Illegal real estate sign ArchivedAcademy St And Red Oak Ln Alpharetta, Georgia - AlpharettaIt is my understanding that House for Sale signs are only allowed on thoroughfares Friday to Sunday. There has been a small Real Estate sign on Academy at Red Oak Ln (Spring Run subdivision). for weeks now, and another sign at Red Oak Ln. and Oak Terrace. Does Code Enforcement not patrol the area, or does it take a citizen's complaint to accomplish enforcement of existing codes?

2 overgrown homes ArchivedAcademy Street Alpharetta, Georgia - Alpharetta2 homes on Academy seem to be vacant, and are overgrown with weeds. The first is to the right of the Baptist church, and I believe is known as the Manning House. The other,, which is virtually invisible due to overgrown is to the right of the driveway of the old Shirley home. Since Academy St. was widened, this house has been untended and is now an eyesore. I should think it would be a serious code violation, as well as a danger to children, and a huge detraction to the area.

Street light covered-dark cul de sac Archived230 Red Oak Lane Alpharetta, GA 30009, USA - AlpharettaThere has already been one vehicular accident in this cul de sac due to the street light being covered by a large bush, and the entire cul de sac is in darkness. This is also a safety concern to our homes and residents.
