Description
the station and it's surrounding area is almost inaccessible to bikes due to wall of raised side walks paired with no bike lanes and treacherous to pedestrians due to cars violating rights of way.

This issue is still not "fixed". The paths to and around Amtrack 30th Street Station are dominated by vehicles. There are no bike lanes. Crosswalks are designed to give drivers only a suggestion to yield to pedestrians coming from the Subway portal that is separated from main station by raised sidewalks and a walled off parking lot. For anyone with wheels of any kind, wheelchairs, strollers, bikes, or even a slight disability, reaching the entrances to the station without escort by car is dangerous and tedious.
To add to the confusion, traffic patterns favor cars coming from I-76. So, pedestrians and bikes are forced to move against aggressive drivers who are exiting off ramps at up to 50 mph. To reach the bike racks at the station a bicyclist must either bike all the way around the station to reach the racks, or bike in the opposite direction of the flow of three lanes of traffic to reach the racks quickly.
