My daughter goes to that daycare, and the city's failure to plow the street results in unsafe conditions. When there is a big snowstorm, parents are forced to park in the middle of the street (or risk getting stuck in the snow on the sides) and unload our children as other cars go by, often slipping and sliding in the snow. I am afraid that one day a passing car will lose control and hit a child and/or parent as they unload. Besides being a horrible event for everyone involved, this kind of accident would result in major liability for the City of Philadelphia's Streets Dept, which is not in compliance with city regulations on plowing when there is over 12 inches of snow.
This street is an absolute disgrace after a snow storm. There are two buildings on walnut lane one that services young Children and the other services the elderly. It is imperative that this city block is cleared of snow for the safety of the children and families that attend Pooh Corner and the convalesant home on the corner. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PLOW THIS STREET BEFORE SOMEONE GET HURT.

Germantown is a mess! That's fine that kids are off, but the adults still have to get around, and should be able to get their children safely to daycare!
Yes, please plow E. Walnut Lane regularly when it snows--necessary for parents with kids at daycare there for dropoff/pickup. Nearby side streets of Morton, Gardenia, and Tulpehocken are also crucial. Thanks!!!
