Thanks- the porta potty seems to be an amenity for all kinds of folks coming off Glenwood. Also, can the tree branches on the Scales side be removed?

I agree. This house needs to be cleaned up. The tree limbs weren't cut last year and covered the stop sign causing an accident. I knew one of the people involved. Her car hit a telephone poll and knocked out the power on Scales for a couple of hours.

Please inspect this intersection. Between the porta potty, and all the tree limbs on the house across the street you can barely see and it's a mess.

Agreed, I put in for a 4-way stop sign at this intersection and it was recently researched. Last time it was investigated, the research didn't warrant getting a 4-way stop based on traffic numbers. Ironically, all of Oakwood was converted to 4-way stops last year and there is definitely more traffic at this intersection than there is in some of the Oakwood newly created 4-way stops. The porta potty is an eyesore and has been there almost a year, with new and random 'junk' in the side yard almost daily.

Per Public Works, they investigated the intersection and cleared any obstructions.

Please take another look. If going down Scales from the school one is not able to see clearly to the left when approching Aycock Street. It is very dangerous. Many driver's gun their engines to get through it safely and then continue at a greater speed than 25 miles per hour. Driver's speed past my house. I would like to see the brush cut down at that intersection. Secondly at 4 way stop sign added and lastly, a speed bump added on scales.

Has the City’s Housing and Environmental Inspections Division done anything about all the other issues at this property? There is even more junk in the side yard than when I reported this. And no roof progress or plumbing progress.

Agreed, on the Scales St. side there is much more junk accumulating. It looks like a junk yard repair shop on the lawn.

I will ask PW to look at the intersection above, I will also ask H&E for an update.

Also I am guessing PW is public works and what is H&E. Please remember that you are talking to the public not in house. People of many ages and backgrounds will be reading this post.

A Housing and Environmental inspector re-investigated on 9/23/2013 and initiated a public nuisance for the junk with a deadline of 10/4/2013 and an unfit houisng complaint for the garage with a deadline of 1/29/2014.

Hello, City. It is 10/9 and all the junk is still out there....what is happening with the resolution of this issue?
