Contact the Sheriff's Dept. & have them pull the accident reports, determine why the accidents are occuring, make recommendations to the road commission & follow up with you. They should be your advocate in these issues.

I have repeatedly called the Oakland County Sheriff to report this intersection. The timing is wrong for the light(s). Regardless, one or the other one of these lights needs to turn red first. It's ridiculous and until someone gets killed, it seems that it will continue to stay this way. I plan on continuing to call the Sheriff to complain.

Paul, good suggestion. I wasn't aware that you could make such a request. Because everyone in this area seems to be aware of the intersection and its inherent danger, I wouldn't be surprised at all that there hasn't been a large amount of accidents. I will, however, make the request. Thank you.

This has not been resolved and is still as dengerous as ever. I have tried on tow different occasions to get the Road Commission to respond to an email that was sent to them and they never responded. Apparently not an issue to them until someone is seriously injured or killed. Next step is to go to the City Council and petition them to intervene.

This is still an ongoing problem with no apparent fix - according to the OCRC. As I mentioned when first reporting this problem, it unfortunately won't be treated seriously until someone is seriously injured or killed. Reactive rather than proactive seems to be the mode of operation.
