Every afternoon at 3pm I have the displeasure of seeing University Dining Employees from the institution I love throw trash on the sidewalk around the bus stop on Hillsborough Street (towards downtown). All employees from the Atrium Food Court. 2 women in Green Delirious Shirts, 2 others in black (one woman and one man) and one other guy in black pants and a tan shirt. The 3 women are always the offenders. When the bus arrives they just throw their cups and trash down on the sidewalk. What a disgusting example of how employees are representing their workplace and the University.

All these coca-cola cups and the chic-fil-a boxes are probably being stolen in the first place.

I have Jim. Thanks. More than once as a matter of fact.
They just do not care. I also have reported to administration and nothing is getting done. I hope the City will step in to do something. Perhaps an undercover officer to catch them.

In regards to Sandy's comment, the University should sit outside the drop off area next the bus stop at DH Hill library any afternoon. Atrium employees are walking out bags - bags- of Chic Fil A to waiting cars. Ironically most of these vehicles are lexuses. I don't mean just a sandwich, I am talking about a dozen or more Chic Fil A sandwiches being passed out to cars pulling up.

Very nasty of the employees to do this. Other then law enforcement... can the city please add a trash can to this stop?

Also, last October I was told that CAT would work with NC State architects to add a bus shelter to this stop (Issue ID: 245318). What's the status on the bus shelter? Bus riders should be respectful of their bus stop, but the city should also provide a respectful area for people waiting on the bus.

You know about the problem now, I think someone approaching you now is irrelevant. I am a student and witness the same thing. It doesn't matter what bus stop it is, the once closest to Brooks or the one at Horne St (both inbound) but at 3:04 TTA bus, you see a bunch of Dining employees throwing their cups on the ground since they cannot take them on the TTA bus.

As of this morning, we have been contacted about the problem. Of course, we addressed it as soon as we were made aware of it on Saturday via this page. In the future, however, feel free to contact University Dining directly if something is amiss so we can address it right away.
