The city needs to do a daily clean up along Mare Island way and in river park and vacant lots along the way. The homeless need to see a no tolerance along our waterfront as that is part of what could be special about Vallejo. A lot of the trash is from the same offenders, but they simply continue to offend with out repercussions. Remember to vote for the people whom have our backs.

Like many municipalities, there seems to be no long-term solution, just cyclical band-aids. However, even tolerant Berkeley instituted restrictions on waterfront and specific public areas where so many folks congregated/stayed, that public could no longer access. As the nice Community Services Officer with VPD says it is not illegal to be homeless, it matters not to me WHO constitutes this group of people. If any group occupies and desecrates a public area in a manner where tax-paying public cannot enjoy it or feel safe using it......then the tax-paying public must be proactive with enforcement agencies and elected politicians. Ok, specific address? We can start with the vicinity of Farragut and Mare Island Way, but this is a citywide problem. Please remove these vagrants by putting them into housing/a shelter or boot them out of town.
Clean up the trash and start enforcing trespassing, littering and vagrancy laws.

And Berkeley still has lots of trashy homeless encampments. It might not be illegal to be homeless, but to be homeless and be surrounded by their own trash etc. seems like illegal dumping and other violations that should be citable.

What is wrong with this community when using the word "republican" gets one blocked? I too would like to vote REPUBLICAN. It seems like a legitimate question when we, as TAX PAYERS would like to vote for our own party. Community service will never get caught up since they don't solve the root of these problems. We need our laws enforced not just telling offenders to move along. No accountability. All we get are excuses and here we are complaining with no real results. This is mismanagement
