Thank you for reporting the site to the Town. We will be dispatching our inspector to the site to evaluate the sidewalk. Please allow us up to two weeks to conduct the inspection.

It is my understanding from reading comments on this site that they are working on requests from 2007 & might be ready to start on 2008. I know someone who had to wait for 37 years before they got their side walks & curbs fixed. Obviously there is a problem with money & priority for attending to these basic issues. People have fallen and gone to the hospital with concussions. If someone gets killed from a fall, it will cost the municipality millions in liability. I hope you get a speedier resolution.

Dix Street is a 2008 street. We have 42 streets under the 2008 protocol and are attempting to get to them as quickly as we possibly can due to current fiscal restraints. Please feel free to call the office at 203-287-7040 and we would be happy to discuss with you.

You are correct, my typo.

The Town currently repairs sidewalks based on the roads with the oldest complaints. Once we get to a street, we attempt to repair all sidewalk problems on the street. We are currently working on streets with complaints from 2007 and are about to begin 2008 streets. Based on current funding and given your street is a 2014 street, we do not have a good estimate on when the repair will be conducted.

We are still sending out our inspect to re-verify likely next week.

We did inspect this site as well as 109, 115, and 119 recently. The other three were looked at on 6/7/2018 and #129 was inspected on 7/10/2018. We are well aware of the needs for repairs on the sidewalks along the entirety of Warner Street The majority of the street was assessed on 1/26/2017.

Question, how is it then justified to install new sidewalks on Warner just North of Arch St back a few years ago and not fix the other issues going back to 1989 when I moved in?

Not knowing the address you are commenting on, I cannot address the reason. If it was prior to June 2016, it predates me.
In 2012, the protocol changed for the Town conducting the sidewalk repairs.
Prior to 2012, we only did sidewalks that were lifted by street trees (trees within the Town right of way). If the sidewalks were damaged or in need of repair, the adjacent owners were responsible.
Around 2012, there was a legal decision. I do not know where.
Starting in 2012, the Town repairs the right of way. If you called prior to 2012 and it was not tree related, it was not taken down and no action was taken by the Town.

I know most people do not like that answer, but that is history.

I'm gonna post this first before you update this report. I do not think that driving by slow is a proper way of inspecting the sidewalks on the street. Just saying. Signed, upset homeowners!!!

Mr. Cartier, if you are referring to the gray Honda Civic with the Town seal on the doors, that was not the re-inspect. (Town fleet car) I happen to be driving through the road to get a scope rather than looking at individual properties. I was checking on a couple of projects on my way back from an offsite meeting.

Thank you all for getting this done in a timely manner. I have not seen one person walking out in the street since getting them fixed. Much safer than before.
