I LIVE 150 ft from this light. I'd like to see the police ticketing the jerks who think that laying on their horns at 7am will somehow make the light turn green.

Seriously. This is a quality of life issue. Whoever is responsible for the programming of this light needs to invest a few days in examining the best way to program this light. Cars are frequently backed up to West Elm, and when that happens the noise from horns, profanity and engines is overwhelming. This is more than just an inconvenience to drivers. I could give a crap whether someone's commute is 3 minutes longer because of this light, and in fact, I hope there is a special circle track of traffic reserved for every jerk who has used his horn at this light. Whatever the 'sensors' on this intersection are doing, they are not effectively controlling the flow of traffic at this intersection. The noise is negatively impacting the quality of life for all who live within 500 feet of this stretch of Forest Rd. The frustration this intersection causes for drivers makes this crosswalk even more dangerous for pedestrians than it once was. FIX THIS!

While I agree that honking - especially at that time of morning - is inconvenient, I find it hard to believe they are honking at a light. They are probably honking at other drivers who are not paying attention to the light. I know that it only allows like 3 or 4 cars to go through once green if coming from Forest and making a left onto Fountain. Its frustrating - especially when someone is practically asleep at the wheel.

The other problem is that people tend to go beyond the line and I know some trucks (even family type trucks), commercial trucks and buses have a hard time making that turn if someone is over the line. Thus they have to honk to get them to move.

The entire stretch of Forest between 34 and Fountain is HORRIBLE! The whole street needs to be looked and revamped.

People blow their horns because they are jerks. Same thing happens at the light, which I live near. Despite the big sign, with the arrow, which says "STOP HERE ON RED", somehow drivers think that stopping in the crosswalk will get them to their destination faster?

Yeah, this intersection is still a mess. Have nearly bee run over several times, here, walking with a crosswalk sign. Once by a Police car, while pushing a baby carriage. What we need is a radio car sitting here, ticketing people over for ignoring the walk signs, running the redlight and failing to yield to pedestrians.
