This is a reposting, as this issue is definitley NOT resovled!!Ever since the Hurricane at teh end of October 2012, there has been an immense backup at the light at Huntington Ave (West Bound) and Louis Prang Ave and I question whether the lights are now out of sync in that area. Traffic in the mornings is now backing up all the way past the Museum and the intersection at Forsyth Ave. Prior to the Hurricane, this backup never occurred on Huntington Ave/Louis Prang. Could this be investigated? It is taking 15+ minutes to move through that 1.5 block area in the mornings. The light (westbound) to move past Louis Prang is only green for 10 seconds - I timed it this morning.

I commented on this intersection several months ago. It is a cluster-you-know-what every day at 5:00. A major reason for the traffic are the cars turning left onto Huntington from Ruggles Street. Cars turn left with a green arrow and then continue to turn because the light remains green. Cars then block westbound cars from moving (maybe 4-5 get through at a time). That also prevents cars heading both south and north on Huntington from traveling because those cars are blocking the intersection. The intersection needs a no left turn on red.

Drock, I agree that that left-turns are also an issue. In addition, it almost seems a traffic cop would benefit that interesection because driver judgement is way off when crossing Huntingon (from Ruggles over to Louis Prang) and cars end up clogging the street and train tracks as well. A traffic cop would ensure that cars do NOT cross Huntington when it starts to fill up and then the light subsequently turns red. Left turns are also pretty dangerous there as well, and i do that every day.
