Deskripsyon

The residents in the vicinity of 932 South 23rd street (I am not sure of the exact address but it is in this area) continue to ILLEGALLY reserve a parking spot. I have put a call into the 17th police district where they instructed me to call 911 to report it. I did make a report into 911 last night as I am fed up with seeing these residents reserve a spot that is open for public parking. These residents are not above the law and should follow the rules like everyone else.

Really?! you are going to report something like that? there is no reason in the world you can't park there. just get out of your car and move the chair. this behavior has been happening in the city for Decades. why are you wasting space on here reporting it?

this a place to report issues. i felt the issue needed to be addressed so i posted about it. if you don't want the issue addressed then don't vote for it and move on.. pretty simple. you don't need to be a jerk about it. thanks for helping our community out!

it is horrible when people are so inconsiderate of each other. You may want to just move whatever they blocked the space off with, but I would not recommend that. When I did someone put nails in my tires. It is so common that the police usually don't do anything. Maybe you can take the complaint to a SOSNA meeting and see if they can address the problem.

This happens on S Bouvier St as well. In fact, if you look at Google Maps Street View for the address 1011 S Bouvier St, you will see the red cones.

i called the 17th police district and they instructed me to call 911 when it happens. i've done this a number of times and i do see the police go out to the house but it's annoying these people can't learn their lesson and stop doing it. i know people reserve parking spots all the time, in many other locations across the city. perhaps we should try to come up with an idea to try and get our message across. i'd like to go to a sosna meeting but i'm not home from work in time to get there. i'm open to other suggestions.

Sorry, don't know what else to do. I did have the streets department haul away a few trash cans and cones when they were used to block a space. It actually worked. I wish you the best.
