You obviously have no clue about construction. This is a temporary patch. The road will eventually be milled and repaved to the double yellow line. They haven't even finished working on the road putting the new pipe in. So how in the world do think that's final pavement they are putting down ? This is a state road and DOT requires 9" of asphalt to be put in place daily. Which anyone that knows the slightest bit about construction knows asphalt can't cool down that fast in the summer months therefore some bumps will be present from what they call " asphalt pushing " . Had the company doing the work been long gone and the condition of the road left as is i could possibly see a complaint here. But they are not. I personally think they are moving right along rather quickly and commend them for having to possibly see a negative comment from a clueless person who DOESN'T even live in our town.. If it's such an inconvience then go another way until they can finish the job before you jump the gun and complain. Have you not driven on other roads in this state or have you complained to those towns too ?
The work being done on Middletown Avenue is related to a water pipe installation project of the Regional Water Authority (RWA). JJ Brennan Construction, RWA’s contract partner, is responsible for the paving as part of the project. The condition of the current pavement is temporary. Permanent milling and paving should be done within the next several months and completed before year-end. The project and conditions are being monitored daily by inspectors from the Regional Water Authority, JJ Brennan Construction, CT DOT, and the towns of North Branford and North Haven. We apologize for the disturbance in the area and appreciate your understanding while this important work is performed to ensure quality water for generations to come.
