Thanks Tommy I was thinking the same thing when I saw it flagged for parks to deal with. Yes it is an atm smashed open. why it was dragged through the park to the river is beyond me.
Good thinking. I searched through all reports of stolen ATMs in Connecticut, and there have been several this year with the most recent within the last few months.
ATMs are not a common item to be disposed of. Our city has the technology to determine exactly where that ATM came from and when it was stolen.
There is also video surveillance in the area that can determine exactly who dumped that ATM.
