Thanks for the comment; I wondered if that was the case. Assuming you mean April 2011, that makes it almost a year since this is damaged. This is on the way to Chavis Park and hard to get around with a stroller. Also, I think that both the street and the adjacent land (Chavis Park) are City of Raleigh property, so it should not be a question of who is responsible, (city or property owner).
Tornado damage issues are more complicated, because they involve FEMA reimbursement from the Department of Homeland Security. We've had to bid these repairs out as a package for City property throughout the path of the tornado, with oversight by FEMA. That process is not yet complete so we don't have a specific date by which this repair will be done. By the time the bid process is completed, approved, a contract written and the contractor mobilized to make the repairs, it may take as much as 6 months to finish the work. We know it's out there, though, and it will get repaired! Thanks for your patience.
