Yeah it was chip (aka cheap)!! sealed then unlike the more affluent part of Shelton where roads were fully resurfaced with black top. Holes are getting bigger causing hazard for both vehicles and residents but still no attention from city.
Apparently, we were the guinea pigs of the chip sealing effort by the Shelton Department of Public Works. It was over 2 years ago, grading on Ojibwa was to be addressed (big puddles here), but true to the nature of the DPW - nothing was done.
The pavement now is starting to crack, small potholes are emerging due to the lack of preparation of the streets for "paving".
In 2 years or so, the streets in Pine Rock Park will be back to their neglected state. Our city representative on the Board of Alderman has not said a whit or visited the area after Hiz Honor saw how horrible the street conditions were over 3 years ago.
And what happened to the $4,000,000 of street paving funds we authorized?
