This is an ongoing issue that most certainly has not been resolved. Every few days, another bag of trash appears on the median strip on Brook Rd. The city and the police have both been contacted, yet the problem goes on and on.

Lets please settle this, arrest the offender, and keep the neighborhood clean.

The address in question is the median strip of Brook Road in front of 4507, 4509, 4511, 4513, 4515 Brook Road.

And actually there are bags of trash above and below those addresses as well, although it seems the 4500 block is continually the worst. Probably need a hidden camera somwhere to catch these people . . . but it is such a chronic problem SOMETHING needs to be done about it. It's been happening for well over a year; whoever is doing it has developed a routine and will not likely stop without being caught and penalized.

An easy solution might be to contact DPU and see who isn't paying for trash pick up along that strip...

I don't see that as being a solution as nothing can be proved by obtaining that type of information. The solution, as I see it, will be to catch the offending party(s) in the act and fine them accordingly. Littering and illegal dumping are fineable offenses and they need to be enforced to the fullest extent of the law. Whoever is dumping their garbage in our medians is confident that he or she will not be caught or punished therefore there is no incentive for them to stop. I would like to see signs put up stating the law and associated fines regarding littering/dumping. And perhaps a 'hidden' camera like the ones attached to stop lights would be effective in determining the guilty party(s) of whoever is driving and tossing out their trash onto our street.

The thought was to narrow down the area you might want to keep an eye on or put a "hidden camera," as opposed to taking longer moving cameras around.

To my way of thinking, since the offenses are taking place in the same area repeatedly that is where the signs and a camera should be placed. A camera mounted on one or more of the street light poles in front of and across the street from our house would probably do the trick.
