Transportation reports that a decision was made to remove this crosswalk. This issue will be reassigned to the Engineering Department as they would have the back ground information around this descision.

Any word on why someone would decide to remove a cross-walk to a park/playground area that crosses a busy road.

Engineering has reported they are still doing background work on this issue. They will respond once adequate information has been gathered. Thank you for your patience in this matter.

This painted cross walk was not installed by the City. (It apparently was done by the developer while still under the developers warranty period)
The City undertook a review of this location during the summer and it was determined that a signed and marked cross walk is not warranted at this location. The cross walk will not be repainted until such time as it is warranted. The City will continue to monitor pedestrian activity in this area.
