This newly built house was completed and moved into months ago, and yet the homeowner has ignored cleaning up the yard, with two big piles of debris overgrown with weeds, including the aggressively invasive mugwort. Their second-floor deck is all nicely laid out with furniture, grill, etc., and spotless cars and trucks crowd the driveway, but this is what we have to look at each day. Perhaps they're just trying to match the rest of their block, from the abandoned bait shop and abandoned trailer-homes, to the next door dumps.

This house has been like this for months. Its a major eyesore right in the middle of the waterfront.

Good point, "TryLandscaping"! To your point: the back of the house has a 2-story garage housing a behemoth-scaled motor home.

Looks like they finally ripped everything out (grass and weeds). Now just a dirt yard hopefully about to be landscaped

Place seems to be coming along. In my opinion there are MUCH larger issues of blight all around west haven. This owner seems to be investing in his property - fine with me, should close this up and move on to the next one

It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that the owner finally cleared the property of constructions debris, despite living in the house for months. And it wasn't just construction debris: 8 foot high piles of dirt and debris were covered with weeds nearly as tall, and given that this qualifies as a violation of blight ordinances, whether or not the owner is investing in his property is debatable. Also, he should consider replacing all the sidewalks that his construction equipment has destroyed. In any case, I will close the case, but it's not like it's been that long.
