One guy brought out a hammer and hit the street a few times. Then returned it to the big orange truck, only to join the others in what I am sure was stimulating conversation.
I am really glad to see all of our city tax and probably state taxes at work. Is anyone accountable with in the city?

Alright concerned citizens, it's time to take this directly to the City after months of virtually no progress. Advice I was given today was to call the City, email...BUG them.
Asking everyone to save this email and phone number in your phone and CALL AND EMAIL DAILY UNTIL THE ISSUE IS RESOLVED. Resolved meaning leak fixed/gone, holes in road GONE, plates GONE, and entire street regarded/repaved is COMPLETE.
To report traffic problems such as malfunctioning traffic lights or potholes please call the Customer Service Center Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 5:00 pm at (404) 330-6333. After hours, please call (404) 227-3520. You may also contact the Customer Service Center via email to: publicworks@atlantaga.gov
In related news I have two TV stations interested in this story. One has already come out for filming/interview.
Please help get this issue resolved: get involved; call, email.
Next step I will post all relevant City Counsel contact information.

Start calling Monday....tired of this Midtown ATLANTA. The city can negotiate a deal to build a 30 story highrise on every corner of midtown, but when it comes to maintaining the roads or letting you know there is a hole in the middle of street with proper signage...seems like NO CAN DO. Reporting and calling every day next week. And yes, the sewers are starting to smell on Peachtree Street, again. How many apartments and condos can you stack on top of each other? That is 300+ people trying to get in and out of their parking garages on every corner? And then you leave a hole in the middle of the street with NO SIGNAGE.? FOR HOW LONG? Not going on much longer. Waited long enough. Trailer Parks in the sky. How many more can be built without properly maintaining the roads?

Great job NBC Channel 11 News for their story and in getting some action to silence the metal plates on 8th Street. HOWEVER the plates are still there. How about FIXING THE HOLES IN THE ROAD! Please call the City of Atlanta - number given in a previous post by me 908HOA.

NEW INFO ON WHO TO CALL:
Atlanta Public Works (404) 330-6333 told me now that the water leak has been fixed it is now a Street Operations 404-853-3200 issue to deal with fixing the hole and repaving. I called them and they told me to contact
LAWRENCE KETER 404-330-6258
I've just left a message with him. It appeared to me that the City of Atlanta had no date in their system to complete hole repair and street repave so I'm hoping Lawrence has this info. I'm shocked they don't have it in their system.
