As a regular bike rider, I have found that the the city believes that a gutter can be called the bike lane. I suspect that they have done this in order to satisfy some clean air regulations. All they are doing his pretending and making it harder for bike riders. Motorist get angry if we don't stay in that sad little lane. There is no way for me to pull my bike trailer behind me for shopping or children or whatever and remain safe in that lane. Yes, it is appalling.
