My apartment on 2633 middle River Drive for the past six months has always been backed up. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars to get it fixed. i’ve had the premises snaked as well Fixing my outdoor pipe, fixing my plumbing in two apartments connected to my outdoor pipe. Now I see public works is in my backyard digging up the ground from a broken pipe that FPL hammered a post in the ground and busted the pipe. And it connects to my sewerage backed it up and that’s why I have been having trouble. FPL is responsible. I’ve had a problem for the last five months and it’s from the broken pipe. City Works is fixing it now, but I’ve spent a lot of money and I would like a refund since it wasn’t my fault. Please contact me as soon as possible. I have tried to call the city, but can’t get through, so I’m sending a request Thank you.

    Good afternoon, Dean.

I hope all is going well with you.

I am writing on behalf of my ex partner, Brian Clerkin. He is trying to apply for a low rent apartment in a few of the 55+ and 65+ places that received tax breaks and money from the city. One such place is Village View in downtown Fort Lauderdale. We have been calling and leaving messages and emailing them and the property management company based out of Miami, but no one returns calls or emails. He is going to be homeless if I cannot find him a place to live with a low rent. His application would have been submitted over a month ago, if these people would ever answer us.

Does the city monitor these places to ensure that they are responding to all those who wish to apply and are being diverse in who they rent to?

If you could get back to me, I’d appreciate it. Brian just needs some help to get a hold of someone on the property so he can apply.

    Thank you.
