Marrickville Council

A substantial white cedar tree in the rear yard of a Bishopgate St house has been poisoned.

NOTE: The address shown on the map (Lot 197) is an approximate address.

Marrickville Council has been notified, and although the tree is defined as protected under the Tree Protection Order 2007.

The tree is still mostly alive, but is dying quickly. If the copper nails that have been put into its trunk can be removed, it may yet survive.

Hopefully Council will act quickly.

A gap exists between the pit structure and the cycle way surface, parallel to the direction of travel. The gap is wide enough to allow a bike wheel to drop in, this would result in a crash, and potentially impact with the Armco traffic barrier posts. Thanks

Campbell Street is too dangerous. It is in a residential area with a school, a pre-school and a park but has a large volume of trucks using it as a shortcut. The trucks travel at speed and there is no buffer between the traffic and the narrow footpath. When there is garbage bins left on the footpath the local elderly residents that use mobility scooters are forced to drive on the road. My children are afraid to walk or ride on the footpath because the trucks travel so close at such high speeds.
If the road was made left turn only at the Princess Hwy intersection that would greatly reduce the through traffic.

The "NO STOPPING" sign on the North-East corner of the new roadworks needs to be moved further back up the road a metre or two, maybe the other side of the tree. At the moment cars can legally park blocking the bike lane access.

People speed down St Marys St from Salisbury Rd then up Chelmsford St. This traffic is uncalm!

I have no problem with people drinking in the park for the most part, but when some leave broken glass, cigarette and joint butts and worse in the children's play area, I have to ask WTF they think they are. Please clean up after yourselves and stop selfishly breaking the kids area.

Cardigan Lane is a well-used bicycle route, however to enter/exit at the intersection of Cardigan Place requires passing on either side of a gate, through the gutter. There is a storm water drain grate with long slots that are wide enough catch a bicycle wheel. This happened just now and as a result the cyclists was almost by thrown from their bicycle. The other side has a proper grate that cannot catch a bicycle wheel.

Please installer a proper grate straight away and consider improving the access for cyclist safety. Thanks.

It has been growing since April is very deep, and the steel plate over it is starting to bend into the hole. It is very dangerous!

Footpath is cracked and raised on one side.

Potholes within patched road. Patched road through this section is has sunk below original surface causing a grooved section within door zone for bicycles and are unable to steer.

Massive hole!
