  • Lot 23 York Road Queens Park NSW 2022, Australia - Randwick

A zebra crossing is badly needed here. There are no crossings provided for 2km between the two ends of York road.

All that is provided here is a tiny refuge. Pedestrians accessing Centennial park from Waverley and Bondi junction following the official Green Links route attempt to cross here with great difficulty.

Often they have kids, dogs, prams and bikes and end up taking terrible risks to get across as the traffic is fast and constant. The refuge is tiny.

Please install a zebra crossing here.

  • 31 Darley Road Sydney, New South Wales - Randwick
Shared use path narrowed to one lane by design decisions in the face of constraints. Reconsider design decision if changes to Darley Road or Darley Road Shared Use Path undertaken.
  • 67 Darley Road Randwick, New South Wales - Randwick
Vegetation growing out of moore park (tree limb) blocks half of Darley Road shared use path
  • 3 Robertson Road Centennial Park NSW 2021, Australia - Sydney - East

20kph shared zone speed limit sign has been stolen or removed by vandals.

Currently cars are entering the shared zone at 60kph and mixing with horse riders, children on bikes, pedestrians etc. very dangerous.

  • 83 York Road Queens Park NSW 2022, Australia - Randwick

No Stopping sign has been knocked over.

Cars are now being parked on a dangerous bend which is a no stopping zone.

  • 31 Alison Road Sydney, New South Wales - Randwick
Poor drainage design leaves sheet water on the surface for hours after rain.
  • 57 Darley Street Randwick, New South Wales - Randwick
Forklift shipping crate blocks half of Darley Road shared use path.
  • 128-132 Oxford Street Woollahra NSW 2025, Australia - Woollahra
At this point of Oxford St motorists heading east toward Bondi speed up in anticipation of the 80km/h zone of Sydney Einfeld Drive. A speed camera is required here to encourage motorists to drive at safer speeds, particularly for the safety of cyclists.
  • 25-27 Alison Road Kensington NSW 2033, Australia - Randwick
Bad ponding through here is constant and requires better draining
  • 97 Darley Road Randwick NSW 2031, Australia - Randwick

Vehicle parked on cycleway 11am 15/09/13.

Illegal flower vendor has returned, parking his vehicle illegally in the middle of the shared footpath/cycleway on Darley rd.

This is creating a hazard for path users. An additional hazard is created by his 'customers' parking illegally in the no stopping zone and opening their car doors into the cycleway.

  • 79 Todman Avenue Kensington, New South Wales - Randwick
Despite notifications council has failed to remark shoulder / cycle advisory lines. This results in driver aggression.
  • 3 Wansey Road Randwick, New South Wales - Randwick

Randwick Racecourse has installed green/red traffic lights at the gate on the north end of Wansey Rd. These lights are problematic because they are green when the gate is closed, and red when it is open. They are intended by the racecourse to warn cyclists on the shared path that traffic may be exiting or entering the gate, but they are too ambiguous to achieve this. They also create the false impression among drivers that when the gate is open, they have right of way to cross the shared path.

I have spoken to the Racecourse but they were unwilling to change the lights. I believe they are a significant hazard, and should be replaced by an orange spinning light that comes on when the gate is open. This is a commonly used signal and the meaning is widely understood, unlike the current signals.

The Racecourse should also install a "give way to cyclists" sign on the internal road.

I'm not sure how much control the council has over this, but surely a private entity can't install traffic lights on the interface with exterior roads without planning approval from the council.
