Markings AcknowledgedHartham Park Ave & Ligon Mill Rd Raleigh, NC, 27616, USA - Wake County
Requesting marking of the pavement at Hartham Park Ave & Ligon Mill Rd to better instruct drivers about the existence of a two-lane road as it approaches the intersection. Currently, as drivers approach this intersection, there are two lanes available, with one lane designated for turning left and the other for turning right.
I am compelled to bring this matter to your attention due to the observed challenges and potential hazards caused by the absence of clear pavement markings. The lack of distinct lane demarcations has led to confusion among drivers, particularly during peak traffic hours. This confusion has resulted in unnecessary congestion and, in some cases, gridlock, as drivers hesitate or incorrectly position their vehicles, impeding the smooth flow of traffic.
Implementing clear pavement markings indicating the presence of two lanes, each designated for a specific turning direction, is crucial to enhancing safety and efficiency at this intersection. By providing visual cues to drivers, we can minimize ambiguity, reduce the likelihood of traffic incidents, and optimize the flow of vehicles through the intersection.
Furthermore, improving the signage and pavement markings at this intersection aligns with the city's commitment to promoting safe and efficient transportation infrastructure. Enhancing driver awareness and facilitating smoother traffic flow not only benefits commuters but also contributes to the overall livability and functionality of our community.
