Halifax St

During large events at the soccer fields, parking becomes very difficult for Capital Park residents. There is a large grass field with a gravel entrance beside the soccer field, can the city get an agreement to use that field for parking? If people parked in that field for events it would free up a lot of on street parking.

deep and harsh pothole in the right hand turn lane, much worse than all of the other multiple potholes on Capital, Wake Forest, and Blount/Person. I have repaired 5 wheels in the last year, please fix pothole.
  • 225-299 Delway Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
There are deep potholes in both lanes that cause everyone to come to almost a complete stop, its very hard to avoid them and they will cause damage if you've hit them. I've already repaired 5 wheels in the last year because Wake Forest and Blount are in such bad shape. Please repair this pothole, its much worse than the others.

Brown water in toilets and appliances. Its less noticeable in the faucets because they have been flushed more, but the water is not clear. They did utility work this weekend but this is the first time we have seen this.

Half of Halifax street was dug up to make cross connections for the new rec center. All of those connections were completed months ago, when is the road getting paved? We are starting to get tired of living on a dusty, bumpy, dirt road.

There is a lot of sediment that has been draining into this curb inlet. There is utility nearby but this is a common problem that I think may be from a yard up gradient on Wade that is not grasses. This is a common problem at this location.
  • 192 Cedar Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Mordecai
People are parking on both sides of Cedar St. at the intersection of Cedar St and N Blount St. Because of cars parked on both sides, it creates single lane traffic right at an intersection and can sometimes leave a car sitting in Blount St while someone is on Cedar. People making a quick right turn onto Cedar may not be able to see the single lane traffic coming from Cedar to turn onto Blount. One side of the street should be no parking here at the intersection.
  • N Blount St Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
There are some bad potholes along N Blout St between Delway and Peace St that need to be filled, and the entire road needs to be paved. One of the potholes at the corner or Blount and Peace damaged my wheel.
  • 365-399 Wade Avenue Raleigh, NC - Five Points

Previously reported and archived in Issue 438547 on March 11

    Update:
There has still been no movement. Dirt is still stockpiled with no grass or erosion control within the riparian buffer. Erosion on the stockpiles is plainly visible, and during a storm you can see that sediment is washing into Pigeon House Branch. Pigeon House Branch is already a majorly impacted stream and this is contributed to it.

This needs to be resolved, penalties for this are measured by day not weeks or months.

There are multiple piles of stockpiled dirt with no erosion control measures. The field is grasses, but there is very little riparian buffer here before making its way into Pigeon House Branch. This may already be part of a LDO but it could probably use some seeding or silt fence.

Every Sunday morning for the past 5 weeks people using the park hang out and play loud music in the parking lot. Usually starts at 7 or 8 and can go well into the afternoon. This has not happened with previous groups.
