For 3 years we've been dealing with this tree being infested by some insect laying eggs all over the tree and then them constantly dropping in my yard and pool, thousands of round tiny light yellowish eggs that bounce and pop off the ground, not sure what they are from but we do eventually find tiny caterpillars around after awhile. Is there anyway the city can spray the tree or do something to stop the infestation? This has become such a nuisance we are not able to enjoy our backyard whatsoever during the summer as we're constantly cleaning up after the thousands of eggs everywhere so many that at times on my lounge cushions I can pick up a hand full of them it's never ending with the sweeping and hosing down I thought it would stop but its every single year now and the tree starts to not look healthy I think it's a oak tree.

we don't want it cutt down because like the others that use to be on the side of it have been taken by termites (pine trees) and cutt by the city, the roots drying out as we are on a sloped hill the roots shrinking causing the dirt to cave is causing shifting in the ground ever since the trees were cutt we've had problems so we def don't want to cutt the oak tree and continue to have more problems in our backyard which is also something else I need to look into.
