Problemi di: street signal
South Saunders/Maywood Raleigh, NC - Southwest
The traffic light on South Saunders is way too long and too short for Maywood Avenue. When you are on Maywood Avenue waiting for the light change, South Saunders has a large group of cars, a break and then another large group of cars before the light changes. If you are on Maywood Avenue and arrive on a red light you can go right, do a U-turn, and come back to a green light. It is faster to do this than wait so for the light to change. This morning when the light finally changed on Maywood, two buses were able to get through the light and we had to wait "forever" for the next light. I was too far back to be able to do my U-turn on South Saunders.

I am thoroughly (and routinely) puzzled why this is 'no right on red.' Drivers waiting at this traffic light can easily see cars coming from the left for quite some distance. Not a danger at all.
1115 Lake Wheeler Rd Raleigh, NC - Southwest
i know this light is being observed.. but it stops people on lake wheeler (the busier road in the morning) for one car to go through the light on s. saunders, while lake wheeler backs up.

Traffic light at Chapanoke and Wilmington Sts takes far too long to turn green when you are trying to turn left onto Wilmington St, especially in the mornings at 7:00. City of Raleigh has not responded to phonecalls about this issue.
Tryon Rd Raleigh , NC - Southwest
The rd which is going to be Tryon Rd has a median in it, blocking the entrance to the Century Collection townhomes.
This issue has apparently been looked at as causing a conflict with Withers Rd, but that is not possible as Withers is on the old/existing Tryon Rd, which be a service rd & will not meet the new one. So there is no conflict.
There is also no median on the existing Tryon Rd at this point...why is there one on the new?
Residents MUST be able to easily access their homes. Ideas include cutting a turn lane like the one at Lake Wheeler (exact same situation...used to have to do a U-turn there), a traffic light (like near other subdivisions on Tryon), a U turn a few feet past the entrance but not all the way up.
This current situation reminds me of the intersection of Tryon & Walnut at Tryon Village. If you turn on Walnut & you want to go to Tryon Village, you must go waaaay up the rd & make dangerous u-turn in heavy traffic.
There will be no traffic light to help people safely make a U on this extraordinarily busy rd. Folks, your current setup is not going to work. Fix it now while there is still time. Take a vote first if you want. Will a petition help?
