Stop signs are not the answer. People that don’t respect the speed limits are unlikely to stop at a sign , especially one located on a through way like Hancock. It would give the drivers that stop on Appleton a false sense of safety and could result in a serious crash.
I have deployed officers to this location and we have not seen the violations as reported. I have responded myself and did not see the violations. I will work on getting a speed measurement device installed for a week so we can get a better idea of what is happening when police cars are not in the area.
