Per Public Works: A City of Raleigh Traffic Signal Technician checked all vehicle detection loops and all push buttons at this location and found all to be working properly, however, I am sorry to say that at this time the City does not any detection loops with the capability of acknowledging bicycles. The pushbuttons do work and if pushed the longest wait on any cycle would be 2 minutes 40 seconds at this location. The City apologizes for the inconvenience, but at the present time bicycle detection loops are only in the discussion stage. Sorry that is simply not an acceptable answer, esp. If you going close this with a "fixed" designation. At the very min the reaction time from when you press the signal button ti when the light actually changes should be shorted. And the 2 min 40 seconds is incorrect I have times over 4min before during rush hours.

We will ask Public Works to take a second look.
