Probably limited sight lines at curves as well as higher amount of residential traffic turning/entering/crossing. I ride my bike on this stretch a few times a week, mostly to get to and from Lake Pine. I prefer the 35 mph speed limit as it makes it easier for me to merge left to a left turn lane going either way, and drivers seem to be more polite.
