New driveway put in and raised, dirt hauled in for yard to prevent flooding problem. The problem still exists! It's sad when you have to back your car out to get your mail out of your mailbox! Why did the city allow a road to be on top of a pre-existing road? The road is to high now which allows flooding in my yard, driveway and other driveways. Please don't hide your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exists because it is a major problem! Please get someone in here that can fix the drainage problem I have and other neighbors have. My last resort is to call channel 2 and see if they can get this problem resolved for me and my other neighbors!!!

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We have visited the site during the rain on Monday 3/16. At first glance your yard may need more soil and sod placed to push the water on out.
A typical city street is designed with curb and gutter with stormwater infrastructure on place. If curb and gutter is not present, stormwater run-off is channeled through drainage ditches, including storm sewer pipe under the driveway approach. That does not exist today.
We have informed the stormwater engineers of the engineering and construction department, abut this issue. City staff is determined to find a permanent resolution to this complex problem. We are also exploring temporary solutions as well. Thank you for your patience.
