XYZ - Thanks for your suggestions. Other carriers - UPS and FedEx - have been instructed to leave packages at my back door, which they do. This package was small enough to have been placed inside the mailbox and out of sight. And this package was originally scheduled to be delivered on Saturday when I knew I'd be home to retrieve it immediately upon arrival, but was delayed by USPS. So, I'm usually pretty proactive with package delivery. The USPS needs to get on board with finding a solution or solutions to this problem!
