It will be interesting to see if this long time, on going issue is addressed by town officials. Somehow, I doubt it. The town is complacent about addressing business owners, as well as, residents who violate town by laws.

Don't hold your breath! This place has been an eye sore as well as in violation for years. The apartment building it is attached to is also in violation with parking across the sidewalk on Pine St. as well as parking in a "no parking zone" on Franklin St.

Government for the people...those people with an "in" contact in town government.

This area is zoned properly for the intended business use. We will investigate the claims of odors and if needed take action, but please understand that a garage is going to smell of petroleum products. Unless these odors are traveling a sufficient distance off the property site and in such concentrations that it constitutes a public nuisance, the Board of Health will not be taking action against a business operating as intended. Walking by a business in operation does not constitute a public nuisance, nor does being an eyesore constitute a public nuisance. The Board of Health has not received any complaints from abutters regarding odors.
