I have been at With Love from Jesus many times and also volunteered there.. It provides a valuable service to hundreds of poor families each week. I know that food is checked before putting it out for the people who come in. It is stressed that the food needs to be used soon. Sometimes donors leave food outside the door, not good in the summer time. With love from Jesus has no control over that. They have good coolers. The good samaritan law waves liability to those giving food to the poor.

I also have had to throw away food as soon as I got home and opened it
(referring to packages of garlic bread / butter that you heat in the oven)
due to the silver color of those packages it is suggested that WLFJ
open those garlic bread packages to check for MOLD

Receiving moldy bread etc = STEALING as there are limits on how much
food a person can receive, And if food is MOLDY then that means that much
LESS food to eat because they do not have a GUARANTEE that if your item
is bad then you can return it for a replacement ... typical radical christian bs
(only interested in converting people, not helping them)

Someone please tell me how someone would know bread was molded in a sealed package. I am the field coordinator for another food distribution site and I know the people that do this work are hard working caring and loving people. The food you receive is a gift from god's hands through their hands. It is not earned, you are not entitled to it. It should be received with the grace it is given. It is difficult at best to insure that everyone gets the same thing or even fresh. Most of the food comes from donations and while every effort is made to weed out bad food, I am sure some of it gets out. This means, especially in the summer time, the receiver needs to be diligent about checking food, and using food in a timely manner. To think that someone receiving molded bread amounts to stealing is one of the most ungrateful, greed filled, self-centered comments I have ever heard. Did you only receive molded bread? I'm sure there were other items in that food package that were usable. Where is the gratefulness for that? Instead of thanking God and His servants for providing food for you, you chose to complain about what you didn't get... sad... truly sad...

'With Love From Jesus' has a federal IRS non-profit status,
as such they must follow all federal and state laws

and the "good Samaritan law" DOES >>NOT<< wave liability
for WILLFUL negligence in violation of the law !!!

Being a so-called 'Christian' does NOT give a person (or organization)
cart-blanch to do whatever they want in violation of
US, State, County, and Local LAWS !!!

My friend was there last week and 3 people asked him if he wanted more food. They do not turn anyone away regardless of race, creed, or religion.

Complain to the COUNTY about this issue for now on as COR is ignoring this issue:

nonprofit statuses as there are IRS rules they MUST FOLLOW or they will lose their non-profit status

They should be prosecuted harshly if they are not following food sanitation procedures and laws. Food borne illness can be deadly.

I will have to say I do like the IDEA of With Love From Jesus has and the things it potentially does for the community. However, what it is not doing is cleaning up after it self. The trash left behind every weekend can be contributed 80% to the love that is delivered. I would suggest finding another place to coordinate this effort because if trash is always left behind people are going to continue to complain.. Please clean up after your events and make sure you left the land as you found it. NOT TO MENTION FOLLOW THE FOOD SANITATION PROCEDURES. Your display of carelessness seems to follow you as a result of the trash that you leave behind. This is NOT how Jesus would do it.

This is inaccurate information. The City is not contemplating any changes to the use of SeeClickFix. We encourage all citizens to use this tool. Our record of response to SCF inquiries is quite good, with a median time to resolve of about 3 days. Some items take longer, but this tool has been valuable to the citizens as well as to our organization and we just want to make sure that's clear.

Thanks for clarifying that City of Raleigh - we think SeeClickFix is a great tool and really appreciate the city using it and responding to our issues in our community. Some things are harder to fix than others but we do appreciate getting a response and working together to solve problems in the community.

Trash around this location is still a problem, perhaps if 'WLFJ' would pick a few people at 11:30 to go outside and pick up trash in exchange for receiving more food then there neighbors would not complain so much.

This was posted and closed over a year ago. Why is this being reposted in our emails again as if it is a new complaint?

A number of See Click Fix items have been lost in the system and are now just being recovered. If this is still a problem please re-open and we will get right on it. My apologies for the long delay in responding!!!
