This is still an issue and I am surprised that more people have not raised the level of this issue, particularly with the local council (Auburn) involved.I guess no-one else is looking at this post. I have to say it affects visitors more than local residents (whoa re aware of the issue.
This is not an issue that will be resolved quickly as it will require Council invention (Planning, design, funding and project management.
Still a ways to go!

Thank you. I assume this will be well received.
I am a local resident of Auburn and set this Watch Area up to try out SCF and add some issues.
I was thinking about how I would advise Auburn Council and whether they would appreciate my effort.
How did you get involved?
Are you with SCF. How did you determine who to send this email ("watch") to?
I have set up several other Watch Areas of interest and have entered trial (dummy) issues (all minor) to test the system.
How can we make this more universally available to citizens and to Council employees chartered with resolving these issues?
We greatly appreciate your interest in SeeClickFix. I am currently interning at the SeeClickFix office in New Haven, Connecticut, United States and have been looking through issues to make sure the correct watch areas have been set up. When searching for the correct contact for Auburn, New South Whales, Australia, I went to the city's official website and searched through the government officials to find who is in charge of public works and transportation, however, since you are a resident of Auburn you have more power than me when it comes to making sure the correct officials are notified and working to fix the issues.
I encourage you to become a SideClick member of SeeClickFix. Below is the link that explains the responsibilities of a SideClick member and the vision SeeClickFix has in advocating local residents like you to become more involved.
Hey my patience has paid off. The local authority has now acknowledged the problem.
They have at least blocked off the "Dangerous Bike Crossing" so bikers need to "stop, look and listen" before crossing. This is a step in the right direction. But what is the next step to fix the problem (rather than just remove it temporarily).
