Agreed! I live directly across from the playground. It is constantly littered with trash, which we are forever picking up from our yard (it gets blown over). The MULTIPLE ice cream trucks are a nuisance -- to our environment and to our health! At the very least, can we post 'no littering' signs and maybe add another trash can or two (they are constantly overflowing)? I will say that I am impressed w/ the parks department -- every Monday, the park is cleaned and is trash-free. If only the park visitors would also pitch in...

Um, @Joe Carozz, I see first-hand who's in the park every single day. There are black people, white people, and Hispanic people. They all equally contribute to the mess. Besides being completely irrelevant, please keep your racist comments to yourself.

Is it possible to contact out council person/alderman and make them aware of the problem. He come to Nathan Hale School all the time so he may be responsive to the issue of trash, illegal cooking in the park etc, I just want to try to give some constructive input to resolve the issue. Another thing to do if no response from the powers that be, is to contact WTNH 8 on your side (I think that is what the segment is called) they will come out and shine a public light on the issue and you know politicians wont like that!
