I lived in the area 5 years ago. There was no stop sign. I pass by many times now, there is no stop sign? When was there ever a stop sign? I think it is a very, very dangerous intersection to not have a stop sign, flashing light and/or traffic light. At night it is can be a very dark area to drive thru, especially if the street lights are out or do not luminate well.
DO SOMETHING!!!

There is STILL no stop sign there.

I don't believe that there was ever a stop sign at that intersection. There is one traveling west on Firehouse Lane behind Station #7. There is a traffic light at Rte. 71 heading south on Stanley Street and a stop sign heading North at Country Club. I will refer this once again to the traffic division at PD for their attention. My apologies for their inaction on this matter.

This is a dangerous intersection. Even careful drivers come up to this junction up Firehouse and don't stop soon enough because of lack of markings. A solid line and a stop sign would be very helpful. The traffic coming up Stanley from the left cannot see over the hill in time to react to a driver not stopping soon enough from Firehouse. Please take care of this inexpensive problem before an accident arises that will not likely be due solely to poor driving habits. Thank you,

There WAS a stop sign there at one point. I know I didn't imagine noticing that someone had hit it and it was bent over, then later removed completely. Obviously it will have to wait til after the snow melts and the ground thaws, but thanks for responding to the post.
