Occasional tickets might help, but currently there seems to be no way for the public to know where tickets are given and what they are issued for. The city gives out a lot of motor vehicle tickets but for all we know, they may be mostly be given for DUIs at downtown checkpoints or unregistered plates elsewhere. I

have the sense that very few tickets specifically for red light running are issued each year, particularly in the neighborhoods.

To beaver hills- The Police won't do anything about traffic issues. I have personally told the District Managers about wrong way drivers, illegal motorcycles (not dirtbikes), and other illegal activities continuing to happen in our neighborhood- I have seen 0 results.

Me, without the consistent information that has been requested by thousands of people over the past 5 years, but never delivered by the city, there is no way to verify your claim (or to track it if, for some reason, an anecdote about ticketing is provided at one meeting).

Well there was a serious crash exactly at that intersections just last night and one of the drivers, a 29 yo woman, died of her injuries today. Others are still hospitalized. Maybe a dead young woman might get somebody's attention.

To the issue. An incredibly dangerous intersection and has been for years. The only effort I've seen to ameliorate the situation is one of those blinking signs that tells you how fast you are going. I doubt anyone blasting through a red light really cares that may be exceeding the speeding limit.

The solution here needs to be traffic calming re-design of the intersection. Police enforcement doesn't work in these situations. They can go out and ticket for a few days, pick up a couple of lunkheads and then it's back to usual. In fairness the police cannot station a squad car or motorcycle at the intersection for weeks at a time.

The folks over on West Park Avenue got a large planter type installation installed to slow traffic down. Something like that needs to be place in the middle of this intersection. Something that requires drivers to make a slight diversion so they can't blast through. Maybe an obelisk or concrete planter or something else that you have to steer slightly around.

P.S. I always stop at that intersection although I have the light to make certain that perpendicular traffic has obeyed their side of the light and stopped.

Make it 4 me's. This issue still exists. I tell my wife all the time you cannot go through any intersection in NH on the green unless you are certain all intersecting cars have stopped at their red. You need to drive defensively, slow down as you enter the intersection and make certain no one is coming.
