Descrizione

Diesel trucks can be heard engine / diesel braking approaching the 63 / 113 intersection throughout the day and night. The noise is extremely loud especially when trying to sleep. Many other locations have signs / local ordinances banning the practice of engine breaking why not here!

Maybe the VERY STEEP HILL has something to do with it!
Maybe if they took better care of their engines they wouldn't break! I'll bet that all those engine brake ban ordinances will disappear after the first person is killed by a runaway truck caused by fading brakes on a long hill like Rte 113. It may be noisy, but it is preferable to 80,000 pounds of potential disaster on the loose

Stock diesel truck exhaust is not loud, it's all of the ridiculously loud (and illegal) exhaust systems that make the walls shake. The problem is on Rt. 63 in front of Walmart, there is no appreciable grade so I would hope brake fading wouldn't be an issue. If brake ban ordinances are potentially so dangerous I would suggest starting some sort of campaign to eliminate them.
