I'm curious about this sign. I used to teach piano lessons in this neighbourhood when my children were small (about 20 years ago) and the sign was there then. Is the deaf child still in the neighbourhood? It could make sense if there were a school with a program for deaf children nearby, but the neighbourhood school is not close. I've never seen a similar sign in the GTA. I also wonder about the appropriateness of a sign like this in this day and age, i.e. do people in the deaf community approve of this kind of sign?
