A member of our Street Maintence- Stormwater staff should be out there to take a look today (Wed., 7/25).

A stormwater Street Maintenance Supervisor visited your location. They determined that this drainage ditch appears to be located on private property. Property owners are responsible for maintaining drainage elements on private property. This is per the City Code.

I have, however, referred your inquiry to the Stormwater Division for additional review. I will update with further information when it becomes available.

The property in question is undeveloped and outside the City Limits. It appears some trees and brush in the drainage way are impeding the flow of stormwater, but this is not a violation of any City ordinance. We have asked the Housing and Environmental Division to review to see if there are any public nuisance issues that might be applicable that would cause the property owner to remove the brush. Will update when I have heard back from them.

The inspector visited the site and found no violation of the nuisance ordinances. As drainage easements are private relationships between property owners, our best suggestion is for you to try to contact the property owner directly.
