It's even worse now, so I called 311 and arranged for a pick-up. Others should do the same until 311 gets tired of these calls about the same issue. The patient is taking over the 600 block of Malcolm X!!!! Lol

I drive pass this everyday and this sitution is still happening !!! We need to.continue to complain about this issue.

Now the junkman is expanding and at least once a week he leaves a present on our front steps. usually it is a high end large bottle of Tequila, sometimes we even get used electronics from the early 80's. This is annoying and he needs help.

If this were anywhere else in DC a permanent solution would have happened by now. We have a mini landfill (illegally created) right next to a restaurant, and the city can't figure out what to do about one menace to our community? 10 years at least this has been going on? Let's get "5 on our side" involved folks. Clearly this is environmental racism, would not be allowed in Tenley Twn, Grg Twn, etc. Anyone else interested in speaking with News crews on this? It's the only way we're going to get any substantial results.

Behavior such has been going on for quite sometime. People have responsibilities and its clearly stated in this picture that someone is not being held accountable in ensuring that the District is free from blight such. This address does not have residents living within the facility, therefore eliminating this small fraction shouldn't be so hard. We have to do better.

I really think it's time to organize around this issue, get the News crews involved and raise awareness. Or in other word embarrass DC Gov into doing their jobs, this is usually the only thing that gets results. Any takers? If we can get just five neighbors to be available at an agreed upon time, I will contact them.

Sometimes the problem is that 311 codes the problems incorrectly. You can experiment with reporting with other categories. Good luck and maybe organizing with neighbors is the way to go.

Also, while it was reopened back in 2012 it never got a new tracking number from dc311. So at this point I think you should scrap this particular request in this page and make a brand new one.
