It is great that the city is "aware" of this safety issue but are there any plans to fix it? Speaking of the Greenway, has the city allocated funds yet to connecting the Alpharetta and Forsyth portions so cyclist do not have to travel on Winward to get between the two? The city recently came out with a long term plan for bike lanes and other improvements but I have not seen anything about funding for these improvements in next year's budget plans.

The City will begin its FY 2014 (July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014) budget planning process in the coming weeks. That process and the associated update of the City's five year capital improvements plan would be where you will begin to see projects and initiatives associated with the bike/ped concepts that were discussed in Council Workshop last month.

In 2013 the City added paved safety zones where cyclists can wait for breaks in traffic to cross Webb Bridge Road. No further improvements are planned along the corridor at this time.
