If Shaker would fix this entire street, from Green to Shelburne, *correctly* it would be greatly. If they would suspend the temp patching and the scheduled street cleaning (which routinely rips up the patches and exacerbates the existing potholes) then the funds would be there for the actual repair work -- nevermind how much we residents pay in property taxes which should be used for *something*.

Hello again,
Landon is scheduled for Large Area Repair this year, meaning that several large areas of the road will be resurfaced. A number of Shaker streets , like Landon, are on the "to do" list but the city does not have funds to resurface them all at this time. The sunken manhole has also been added to the list we have for manhole repairs. Cold patch is used only to temporarily patch potholes, that's why it sometimes "pops up" after it has been patched.
I'm sorry I can't tell you Landon will be resurfaced this year. Given the State's elimination of the Estate Tax, Shaker will be losing an average of $5.5 million/ year that we have used for such repairs, as well as for all other capital needs in the City.We are waiting for the report of the Mayor's Financial Task Force (expected on 3/26) with its recommendations as to how the City should address this major revenue loss.
Feel free to contact me directly at jeri.chaikin@shakeronline.com or 216-491-1424 if I can answer any other questions or concerns.
